First things first, thank you E! for this poster. I can't say thank you for the show though. The whole reason I decided to watch this train wreck was because I sat through The Bling Ring and found out these are the girls that movie was based on.
Let me just tell you, the show was just as horrific, if not more so, than the movie. I am unsure how these girls have made it this far in life with the (lack of) parenting that existed. I am not sure where everyone is on encouraging their children to become pornstars or present themselves in Playboy, but that is what this mom was about.
If you would like a guide on how NOT to raise children I strongly suggest watching this show. You could also watch this show if you like watching the strong misfortune of other people. But, if you want to keep all of your braincells I'd go with... SKIP IT!
Almost every day I watch a movie and half the time I try to remember what was this movie about and did I like it? That fact combined with the fact that I really just love to watch movies and I'd like to keep track of the movies I see seemed like the perfect reason to get this blog. I hope you enjoy.

The Fighter
This is the story of someone who has been beaten down and is trying to make a come back. My mother, in particular, loves feel good movies, and as a result this is one of her favorites. The reason I watched this movie (again) was because I was home visiting my family and it was on TV. Now, when I say that my mom loves this movie, I mean she loves it, we watched it in its entirety.
I rarely watch anything live on TV anymore because I can't stand commercials, but I do have a certain love for this movie too and sat through it both times. Mark Wahlberg does a fabulous job portraying Mickey Ward. You fall in love with his character and start to feel for every struggle he experiences. As a viewer you will feel for Wahlberg in all aspect starting with his struggle to come back, the defeats he suffers, to dealing with his (crazy) family.
This movie is just touching and it it hard a lot of the time to get a movie that makes you feel emotions as much as this one does. I would most definitely say to see this in theater, even though that's obviously not possible at this point. But, to do it justice, I did see it in theaters in 2010 with my parents and it was a film that all three of us walked away from feeling like we just saw a great film.
Also, if you are a woman that has somebody who doesn't like to watch "girly films" but you're tired of watching the same old beat em' up, take em' down, I strongly suggest this movie!

Tiny Furniture
As this is my first review on my new blog I'm very excited. I thought this would be the perfect movie to kick me off and sadly what I have to say is, "Oh, Lena!" Now, stay with me here. I love Lena Dunham and her show Girls is amazing, however this movie fell short for me. If you are an avid Girls watcher like I am than you will recognize a number of actors from the show in this movie. I was very excited to realize this however it did not help me last through this movie. I found that I just kept wanting more. I wanted Aura to come to some conclusion about her life and where she is going. It feels like it is just never going to happen. If it had not been for the ending of this movie I would probably have watched it again. The ending of this film takes it from a eh, I'd watch this again if it was on TV to no thanks. Lena you are a genius and I am embarrassed that I'm the same age as you and have not accomplished nearly as much, but this for me just isn't worth a second watch.
